Prerequisites

Hardware

Minimum Hardware Requirements

The minimum hardware requirements for PiKonek are:

  • x86-64 compatible CPU(PC)

  • 1GB or more RAM

  • 16GB or larger disk drive(SSD, HDD, etc)

  • Two or more network interface cards

  • 64bit OS

PiKonek also supports ARM-based hardware.

Here are currently supported ARM:

  • Raspberry Pi 3/4

  • Orang Pi PC

Network Adapters

A wide variety of wired Ethernet Network Interface Cards (NICs) are supported by Ubuntu and are thus compatible with PiKonek software. You must have at least two network adapters on your hardware.

For Raspberry Pi and Orange Pi, you can use USB-To-Lan-Adapters.

Supported Operating Systems

PiKonek currently supports only the Ubuntu 18.04 operating system for both x86-64 and 64-bit ARM hardware.
